- **View Distance: High** — Arena Royale sightlines occasionally stretch past medium culling distance. High ensures no pop-in on distant portal placements.
- **Volumetric Quality: Low** — The storm boundary fog uses volumetrics. Medium/high looks marginally better but costs 8-10 FPS for zero gameplay value.

Target: 1440p 360 FPS or 4K 165 FPS. At this tier, you're either chasing ultra-high refresh for esports or pushing 4K without compromise. Arena Royale's 60-player chaos is one of the few scenarios where even a 5080 can dip below 240 FPS at 1440p max — prioritize frame consistency over maxed sliders.
- **1440p 360Hz config:** Native resolution, DLSS/FSR off (adds latency), shadows low, effects medium, everything else high/epic. Disable vsync, enable Reflex, cap frames at 360 in-game.
- **4K 165Hz config:** DLSS Quality (RTX) or FSR 2 Quality (AMD), texture quality epic, view distance high, shadows medium, post-processing low. This holds 165+ FPS in all but the final-circle 40+ player pileups.
- **Ray Tracing: Off** — Splitgate 2 added RT reflections in Update 2.2 for portal surfaces. It looks stunning in screenshots and costs 40-60 FPS in Arena Royale. Save it for casual modes or content creation.

Splitgate 2 Update 2.2 shipped with a known compatibility quirk on NVIDIA drivers older than 566.14 (released July 2026).
