Fix stuttering in Delta Force

Work through these in order — they're sequenced to find the cause fastest, not alphabetically. Most stuttering cases in Delta Force resolve by step three.

1
Cap your framerate below the swing ceiling

Stutter often isn't low FPS — it's inconsistent frametimes. Cap a touch under your typical ceiling (e.g. 144 if you swing 150-190) so every frame arrives on schedule.

2
Let shaders finish compiling

After every game patch and driver update, the first session recompiles shaders — that's stutter, and it's temporary. Give it one full match before changing anything.

3
Check the texture/VRAM fit

Texture pool a notch too high for your VRAM causes mid-fight hitching as assets swap. Drop texture quality one step and watch whether the hitches disappear.

4
Disable overlays one at a time

Discord, GeForce Experience/App, Steam, RGB suites — overlay hooks are a classic hitch source. Disable all, re-enable one per session to find the offender.

5
Verify the game is on your SSD (and not a nearly-full one)

Asset streaming from a HDD or a 95%-full SSD hitches in open areas. Keep 10-15% free space on the game drive.
