AMD Adrenalin 26.10.1 drivers bring FSR 4.1 to RX 6000 cards

AMD released Adrenalin 26.10.1 WHQL drivers today, adding FSR Upscaling 4.1 support to RX 6000 series GPUs (RDNA 2, launched 2020) and Ryzen AI Max/AI 9 APUs ("Strix Halo," "Gorgon Halo," "Strix Point," "Gorgon Point"). The update follows AMD's announcement yesterday that FSR 4.1 would backport to older hardware, including Xbox.

FSR 4.1 is AMD's latest ML-based upscaler, a step up from the spatially-based FSR 3.1. RX 6000 owners get access to the new algorithm without buying into the RX 9000 generation. The driver also covers integrated graphics on recent Ryzen mobile chips — useful if you're running a Ryzen AI laptop and want better low-resolution scaling.

This is a solid move. FSR 4 was RDNA 4-exclusive at launch, which left a lot of RX 6000/7000 users in the cold. Backporting it to 2020 hardware keeps those cards relevant for another year or two, especially at 1440p where upscaling makes the most difference. The RX 6800 XT was already a strong 1440p card; FSR 4.1 should push it closer to 4K-capable with quality mode.

If you're on an RX 6000 card, grab the driver and run a fresh playbook to see if FSR 4.1 lands you an extra 10-15% frame lift in supported titles.
