AOC's 31.5-inch 5K G-SYNC Pulsar monitor arrives for RTX 5090 owners

AOC just announced the AGON AGP327KG, a 31.5-inch monitor that combines 5K resolution (5120×2880) with NVIDIA G-SYNC Pulsar — the first display to pair the two. G-SYNC Pulsar uses backlight strobing to reduce motion blur during fast gameplay, and until now it's been exclusive to lower-res panels. The AGP327KG brings that tech to a much sharper canvas.

The panel runs at 5K native, which means you'll need serious GPU headroom to push competitive frame rates. AOC is clearly targeting RTX 5090 owners — the 32GB VRAM on that card is one of the few configs that can handle 5K without buckling in modern AAA titles. Pricing and release date aren't public yet, but expect this to land well above the $1,000 mark given the feature set.

This is a niche play. Most competitive players stick to 1080p or 1440p for the frame rate ceiling, and 5K adds a ton of pixel load for marginal competitive edge. If you've got a 5090 and want the sharpest image possible without dropping motion clarity, this is the first monitor built for that exact use case. For everyone else, it's overkill.
