Battlefield 6's mid-season patch shipped with more bugs than fixes

Battlefield 6's latest mid-season patch went live this week with promised quality-of-life tweaks and weapon balance changes, according to Eurogamer. The patch broke more than it fixed. Players are reporting broken hit registration, missing audio cues, and fresh stuttering issues that weren't there before.

The update added a new weapon unlock progression system and rebalanced several meta guns. Both changes are solid on paper. But the execution tanked performance for enough players that official forums are flooded with reports. Hit reg problems hit hardest in 128-player Conquest modes, where server tick rate was already borderline.

This is frustrating. Season 3 had momentum. The new maps ran well, weapon feel was improving, and the community was actually optimistic for once. A buggy mid-season patch doesn't kill that momentum outright, but it stalls it. DICE needs a hotfix within the week or players will drift back to Warzone and Delta Force.

Check your Battlefield 6 settings to see if tweaking netcode options or rolling back drivers helps with hit reg. Some players report success forcing DX11 over DX12 for now.
