Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 brings Roblox crossover after Epic boss called it a threat

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override drops with a Roblox collaboration, confirmed in Epic's first trailer. The new season packs gaming crossovers from multiple eras: Crash Bandicoot, Sonic and Tails, Persona 5's Joker, Mega Man, and Mortal Kombat's Kitana and Scorpion all show up.

The Roblox tie-in is notable timing. A few months back, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney publicly flagged Roblox as a platform that could "grow and eat gaming" — treating it as competitive pressure, not a partner property. Now Epic is putting Roblox avatars into its own metaverse play.

This crossover bonanza is Epic leaning harder into the "all gaming IP under one roof" pitch for Creative mode and battle royale.
