Forza Horizon 6 unlocks May 20, 2026 — here's when you can drive

Forza Horizon 6 launches May 20, 2026 at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. BST, according to Polygon. Standard Edition buyers on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox get access at that time. Premium Edition holders start driving 72 hours earlier on May 17.

Playground Games hasn't confirmed minimum or recommended specs yet, but expect similar requirements to Forza Horizon 5: 8GB RAM for low settings, 16GB for high, and a GTX 1060 or better. The series runs well on mid-range hardware if you dial back ray tracing.

FH6 introduces dynamic weather and a rumored East Coast US setting. If you're upgrading for this, a 6GB GPU and quad-core CPU should clear 60 FPS at 1080p Medium. The 72-hour headstart is a $40 upcharge — worth it if you're taking launch week off work, otherwise the standard release is fine.

Run a fresh playbook before May 20 to make sure your drivers and settings are current. FH6 will likely ship with DLSS 3 and FSR 3 support at launch, so upscaling options exist if your rig is borderline.
