GTA 6 main story runs 80 hours, says Rockstar co-studio head
Main story runs 80 hours — more than double GTA 5, longer than Red Dead 2

Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson finished GTA 6's main story in 80 hours, he told The New York Times. That run included some optional objectives with actual story weight, not just collectibles. For someone who helped build the game, 80 hours is a long time.
GTA 4 and GTA 5 both wrapped their campaigns in 30 hours. Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar's previous longest game, ran 50 to 60 hours for the main path. GTA 6 is about 60% longer than Red Dead 2 and more than double GTA 5.
Nelson didn't say when the game ships or what kind of hardware it needs, but 80 hours of open-world action means storage space and load times matter. If you're still on a SATA SSD or spinning rust, now's the time to plan an upgrade — Rockstar's PC ports eat disk bandwidth for breakfast.
