Intel launches Arc G3 CPUs for handheld gaming PCs with B390 iGPU
Intel's first handheld-focused CPU series targets Steam Deck territory

Intel announced the Arc G3 CPU family for handheld gaming PCs. The new chips pair a 14-core design (2 P-cores, 8 E-cores, 4 LP E-cores) with integrated Arc B-series GPUs, according to TechPowerUp.
Two SKUs are launching: the Arc G3 Extreme with the Arc B390 iGPU, and the standard Arc G3 with the B370 iGPU and a 100 MHz lower max turbo frequency. Both chips include optimizations for Windows Xbox mode, the overlay Microsoft rolled out to Windows handhelds earlier this year.
This is Intel's most direct shot at the Steam Deck and ROG Ally turf yet. The B390 iGPU should land somewhere between AMD's Z1 and Z1 Extreme — good for 1080p medium settings in most games, assuming drivers cooperate. The real test is whether OEMs price these handhelds under $600, because that's where the competition lives.
