NVIDIA raises GPU kit prices again, hitting both GDDR6 and GDDR7 cards

NVIDIA notified its add-in card partners of another GPU kit price increase, according to a BenchLife report via VideoCardz. This one covers both GDDR7 and GDDR6 memory, so it's not limited to current Blackwell cards — older GeForce products still using GDDR6 could see price adjustments too. NVIDIA supplies board partners with GPU and VRAM bundled together as a kit, so when memory costs go up, AIBs pass that along to retail pricing.

This is the second reported price hike in recent months. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5090D V2 saw a similar adjustment back in May. BenchLife notes that partner cards already carry a premium over Founders Edition pricing, and this move could widen that gap further.

If you're planning a GPU upgrade, expect street prices to drift up over the next few weeks as existing inventory clears. The timing is rough — cards like the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4070 were finally approaching reasonable price-to-performance territory after two years of post-launch deflation. A GDDR6 memory cost increase could reverse that.
