Open-source project brings Reflex and Anti-Lag 2 to any GPU on Linux
Hardware-agnostic latency tech finally works across vendors on Linux

Korthos Software released lowlatencylayer, an open-source Vulkan layer that ports NVIDIA Reflex and AMD Anti-Lag 2 to any GPU on Linux. Intel Arc users can now run Reflex. AMD users stuck on older drivers get Anti-Lag 2. NVIDIA users on distros with stale packages can skip the driver dance.
The layer works as a hardware-agnostic wrapper. It intercepts Vulkan calls and applies frame pacing tweaks that mimic what Reflex and Anti-Lag 2 do natively. You install it, enable it in your game's launch options, and the tech runs whether you're on a 7900 XTX, a 4090, or an A770.
This matters if you dual-boot or run Linux full-time. Reflex and Anti-Lag 2 cut input lag by 10–30 ms in competitive shooters, but driver support is spotty on Linux. AMD's official Anti-Lag 2 support took months to land in AMDGPU-PRO. NVIDIA's Reflex works only in select titles with up-to-date proprietary drivers. Intel has no native Reflex support at all.
Worth testing if you play Valorant, CS2, or Apex on Linux and your distro's mesa/nvidia package is six months behind. The layer won't match native implementation performance, but it beats nothing.
