Palworld hits 855,000 concurrent Steam players at 1.0 launch

Palworld hit 855,000 concurrent Steam players following its 1.0 launch, according to community lead Bucky at Pocketpair. The studio expected strong numbers but called the turnout "staggering" in a post on X.

The full release dropped after a year in early access. It adds the Feybreak update — new Pals, islands, a raised level cap, and endgame content. The game peaked at over 2.1 million concurrent players during its January 2024 early access debut, so this marks a sharp bounce back after months of quieter updates.

For a survival-craft game, Palworld is surprisingly light on CPU overhead compared to Ark or Rust. Most rigs with a mid-tier GPU (RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7600 XT) and a recent quad-core CPU hit stable 60+ FPS at 1440p medium-high. The 1.0 patch doesn't seem to have tanked performance — early reports show no major regressions from the EA build.

If you're jumping back in or picking it up for the first time, run a fresh optimization playbook to dial in your settings for the new content.
