PlayStation boss says single-player games won't come to PC going forward
Sony pulls the plug on future single-player PC ports — if you want Ghost of Yōtei at 120fps, you're out of luck

PlayStation Studios CEO Hermen Hulst confirmed to staff this week that the company will no longer port single-player exclusives to PC, according to VGC. The shift reverses Sony's multi-year strategy of bringing games like God of War, Spider-Man, and The Last of Us to Steam 12–18 months after console launch.
Live-service titles will still get day-and-date PC releases. Single-player games stay locked to PlayStation hardware. No timeline was given for existing ports in development.
This is bad news for PC players who've been waiting on Ghost of Yōtei, Death Stranding 2, or the next Horizon. It's also a step backward for performance — PlayStation 5 hardware tops out at 4K60 on newer titles, while even mid-tier PCs with a 4070 can push 1440p120 or better. If you care about framerate options beyond 60, you're stuck hoping for a policy reversal or buying a console.
If you're running a PC-only setup and banking on future PlayStation ports, check your hardware against current titles while they're still available. Existing ports aren't going anywhere, but the roadmap just got shorter.
