Rocket League demos Unreal Engine 6 at Paris Major
Epic's next engine gets its first public demo, no release date yet

Epic Games debuted Unreal Engine 6 at the Rocket League Paris Major on May 24, running a tech demo built on the competitive car-soccer game, according to Polygon.
This is the first public showing of UE6. Epic hasn't released technical specs yet, but the demo hints at performance improvements for games already on UE5. Rocket League itself still runs on UE3, so this isn't a Rocket League upgrade announcement — it's Epic using a known quantity to show what the new engine can do.
No launch timeline. No confirmed features. Just a proof-of-concept that UE6 exists and can render a fast-moving multiplayer game without falling apart.
For BetterFPS readers: if you play anything on Unreal Engine 5 (Fortnite, The Finals, Valorant's newer maps), this matters eventually. New engines mean new rendering paths, which means new driver optimizations, which means your 4070 might suddenly hit different framerates in 2027. Keep an eye on Epic's developer blog for actual specs.
Run a fresh optimization playbook if you're already tweaking UE5 games — settings might shift when UE6 titles start shipping.
