Warzone is dropping PS4 and Xbox One after Modern Warfare 4 launches

Activision announced PS4 and Xbox One support for Warzone ends when Modern Warfare 4 releases, according to VGC. After MW4's launch, last-gen console owners can't play Warzone at all.

This isn't a surprise. The base consoles struggled to hit 60 FPS in recent seasons, and Warzone's file size ballooned past 200GB with Modern Warfare III integration. Cutting PS4/Xbox One likely frees up development bandwidth for cross-play stability and newer engine features on PC, PS5, and Series X|S.

If you're still on last-gen hardware, this is your push to upgrade or switch to PC. The current-gen consoles run Warzone at locked 120 FPS (Performance Mode), which is a big step up from the inconsistent 50–60 you're getting now.
